SHADES OF MORNING
by Marlo Schalesky

Genre: Mainstream, Inspirational

RT Rating

Schalesky has a knack for weaving a surprising spiritual twist into her tales. The touching plot will make readers examine how they deal with past regrets, and how God moves them through it. A not-to-be-missed, stunning novel.

Former foster child Marnie Wittier ran from her past and started over, cutting off contact with her only sister. Now the owner of a coffee shop and bookstore, her life is comfortable and safe. Yet when her sister dies and Marnie receives custody of her teenage nephew Emmit, her life is thrown into turmoil. Emmit has Down syndrome and the challenges are almost more than she can handle.
