The brothers from Dodd's Darkness Chosen series walk a fine line, and Adrik Wilders has finally crossed it. Creating a character that is dangerous, violent, almost out of control and yet still redeemable is quite a trick -- but Dodd pulls it off superbly. This is another stellar book from a most talented author!

Presumed dead by his family, Adrik has fallen deeper into his demonic side. Simply called Warlord now, he runs a band of mercenaries.

Karen Sonnet helps build adventure hotels for her father, and when fate places her in the path of Warlord, he grabs her. When the camp is attacked by the devilish Varinskis, Adrik sends Karen away to safety. Nearly two years later, he keeps his ominous promise to find her once again. The passion still runs hot between them, but can Karen forgive him?
