You’ll be hooked from the very first sentence! This Corine Solomon novel is consistently awesome, from the first page to the very last. Not only is the plot riveting and relentless, the characters show true growth and development. Aguirre fashions an ending that is satisfying, while leaving readers wanting more.

Corine Solomon can touch an object and know its history. When a drug lord with a grudge sends a cursed item to her pawn shop, she is seconds away from instant death. Kel Ferguson bursts into her store and stops her.

A warrior from God, Kel has his own secrets and agenda. His mission is to guard Corine, though he’s unable to interfere or affect free will. Corine must partner with a drug lord, form alliances with demons and use every resource she has to stay alive. With Kel, her current boyfriend and her ex, Corine fights to protect her loved ones as she strives to live to fight another day. (ROC, Apr., 336 pp., $7.99)
