Though her first meeting with Prince Qadir of El Daharia doesn't go well, mechanic Maggie Collins somehow convinces him to let her restore his classic Rolls-Royce. Their attraction leads him to ask Maggie to pretend to date him -- to stop his father's matchmaking. Maggie agrees, and then learns she's pregnant with her ex's baby. Qadir wants to marry her and so does her ex, but neither offers what Maggie wants most -- love. Susan Mallery's The Sheik and the Pregnant Bride (3) has well-realized characters and a solid conflict. But certain elements of the plot are irredeemably cliched.
