SHELTER OF HOPE
SHELTER OF HOPE (3) by Lyn Cote: When Marc Chambers prevents Rosa Santos’ son from being hit by a truck, it stirs up memories of a deadly accident he feels guilty about. Working with Rosa on a Habitat house that will be her home and seeing her at the college they both attend has Marc longing for things he feels he doesn’t deserve. Rosa, meanwhile, struggles with resentment toward her son’s father. Yet with both their grandmothers, Marc’s brother and, apparently, God, pushing them together, maybe they should give it a try. This is a lovely story of people who come to terms with the past, but some story threads aren’t resolved.
