Book Review

A SHOT OF SULTRY
by Macy Beckett

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

In a classic return-to-home story, Beckett’s second book in her Sultry Springs series is a sweet yet steamy read. The sexual tension between Bobbi and Trey practically sizzles off the page, even as they dance around much deeper emotions that neither is prepared to handle. While the ending feels a bit rushed, readers will be left with smiles on their faces and more than ready for more of this quirky little town.

Bobbi Gallagher never thought she would be desperate enough to return to Sultry Springs, but with her career spinning down the drain, beggars can’t be choosers. Set to film a documentary on small-town romances, Bobbi thinks her summer will be an easy step toward redeeming herself — until her brother insists on having his sexy best friend, Trey Lewis, keep an eye on her. Trey is every woman’s dream and exactly the distraction she doesn’t need. Suddenly, saving her career seems to be the least of her worries as her heart may just be on the line.
