When CPA Whitney Ann "Pink" Pearl gets caught up in an investigation of her company's shady accounting practices, she hires attorney Ed Ravenaldt to represent her. Show Her the Money (3) by Stephanie Feagan is a good book with plenty of action. Feagan's characters are very realistic in that they don't always make smart choices. Pink does some investigating on her own, and Ed can't keep his relationship with Pink purely business—even though he's acting as her attorney. The only drawback is that the plot is a bit complicated and hard to follow in places.
