SILENT WARNING
by Kathleen Long

Genre: Series

RT Rating

After her best friend drowns, a grieving Kelly travels to Summer Shores to pack up her friend's beach house. She meets Dan, a local who convinces her the drowning was no accident. Dan believes the killer also took the life of his sister a year ago. Together, they follow a trail of evidence that leads to drug trafficking, murder and unexpected passion. The intrepid twosome and clever madman in Kathleen Long's Silent Warning (4.5) add up to a chilling, twisty whodunit with a surprising and satisfying ending. A believable drug trafficking plot (it could be "ripped from the headlines") and good chemistry between Kelly and Dan elevate this compelling novel.
