A SISTER'S TEST
by Wanda E. Brunstetter

Genre: Inspirational, Mainstream

RT Rating

This installment of the Sisters of Holmes County series immediately picks up where the last one left off but can easily be read on its own. As Brunstetter explores the fragile issue of shattered dreams, she also incorporates the importance of family and faith. This is a captivating story filled with faith and hope.

For as long as Ruth Hostettler can remember she's longed to be a wife and mother. But her dreams for the future are overshadowed by the increasing number of attacks that have visited her home. Few clues leave many suspects but little evidence. During this difficult time, Ruth draws closer to Martin Gingerich, who gladly asks for her hand in marriage. But when a devastating "accident" occurs, Ruth must face a future she never imagined. Can God build from the ashes of despair? (BARBOUR, Jan, 304 pp., $9.97)
