All the wolf packs join the Johnson brothers in the exciting fourth outing of McCarty’s Shadow Wranglers. There’s a strong emotional connection between Slade and Jane that’s proven in the thrilling conclusion despite Jane’s strong misgivings.

Jane has done the impossible and come up with a cure for world hunger. But there’s a downside: The reverse formula is a biological warfare nightmare, so she’s destroying her research. Her computer chat mate, Vamp Man, knows of her research, and wants her for a more personal reason. He knows the bad vampires of Sanctuary are hot on her trail, and he helps her escape, just one step ahead of them. Slade Johnson, vampire cowboy, has a nephew who is half-human/half-vampire, and is starving to death. He wants Jane to prepare her formula and attempt to save Joseph from his slow demise. During their journey to the compound, it becomes obvious to Slade’s brothers that Jane is his mate despite his protests. She is freaked out by the whole vampire scene, so he has a lot to overcome!
