Just when Calandra is close to her freedom, she's abducted by slave trader Drago Chavez. Drago knows he'll make a pretty penny selling Calandra, and her beauty will guarantee placement with a caring owner. But Calandra has no intention of being sold, even if it means seducing Drago and convincing him to change his mind.

While the love scenes between Drago and Calandra are packed with heat, there are elements that may put off some readers. Calandra's spicy liaison with a female guard may not shock diehard fans of erotica, but it does put into question the true nature of the hero and heroine's relationship. Devlin is a smooth writer, and this is a nice sequel to the Desire series. (dl $4.95)
