Slightly psychic counselor Lila Delaney has never been so sure about a vision, but she thinks she knows where the missing 22-year-old daughter of a senator could be found. When she brings the police to the site, however, her fiance is there having sex with the young woman. The publicity is an embarrassment, and she flees to Virginia, where she struggles to regain her now-gone psychic ability. There she meets Joe McCaffrey, a onetime baseball star who became a suspect when his wife disappeared. Now Lily must help him find out the truth. Slightly Psychic (3), by Sandra Steffen, has an interesting plot and sympathetic characters but the writing is slow in places and the set-up is improbable.
