Accountant Maggie O’Malley is stunned when bounty hunter Micah Jones walks into her office and takes her, handing her over to the police. Micah’s done his job, but he can’t stop thinking about Maggie. When Maggie shows up at his door after she’s released from jail, wanting more information about why she was arrested, the attraction between them flares. Maggie wants it to go deeper but suspects Micah has a few secrets. Micah’s not sure how Maggie would handle his past but can’t imagine a future without her. Yet, as danger surrounds Maggie, secrets are exposed and the stakes rise. (ST. MARTIN’S, Dec. 352 pp., $7.99)
