SLUGFEST
by Rosemary Harris

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

Harris is back with another installment of her Dirty Business series. The New York City setting is unusual for a cozy and it’s fun to follow garden maven Paula Holliday from swanky hotel bars to Korean groceries to the Big Apple Flower Show as she deals with the eccentric cast of characters and solves some crime. Harris’ writing is sharp and funny. Slugfest is an absolute treat.

Paula Holliday heads back to Manhattan to man a booth at a big gardening-industry trade show. She has a friend’s apartment to stay in and old haunts to visit, and she’s looking forward to mixing business and pleasure. But the death of another attendee throws a trowel in the works and Paula has to find the killer before it’s too late. (MINOTAUR, May, 256 pp., $24.99)
