THE SMOKY MOUNTAIN MIST (4) by Paula Graves: Someone wants Rachel Davenport out of the way, but instead of killing her, he’s killing off her support system one at a time and creating illusions designed to send her into an institution. Former con man and current covert federal agent Seth Hammond wants to know if it’s because someone hates her, or for control of the trucking company her father left to her. Could it be Rachel’s flighty stepmother, her harassed stepbrother or someone else with an ax to grind? The beauty of the Smoky Mountains makes an excellent backdrop to a prime mystery with a well-laid plot and characters readers will find hard to forget.
