When retrieval specialist Samantha Ballanger is hired to locate and return the delusional son of a blueblood Miami accountant, she quickly realizes that things aren't exactly what they seem. The teen has been drugged by his father and his psychiatrist, and the "friend" he ran away with is none other than the DEA agent investigating the boy's father. With the help of her husband, reporter Matt Granger, Sam manages to help catch the bad guys and save the kid. Shirl Henke's Sneak and Rescue (4) is a fun read. Her female character is likeable and strong, without being perfect, and Matt and Sam are perfectly matched.
