THE SOCIALITE AND THE BODYGUARD (4) by Dana Marton: Private security agent Nash Wilder is sure his new assignment -- guarding socialite Kayla Landon's precious poodle -- is payback for fouling up his last assignment. Shadowing the "Popcorn Princess" at a dog show, though, he realizes he's taken a very personal interest in her and the threats he's sure are aimed at her. Kayla allows the media to paint her as a pampered ditz as long as she can keep her charities afloat from their interest and her troubled brother close to home. As the attacks escalate, Nash and Kayla are thrown into danger -- and each other's arms -- in a slickly scripted story with engaging characters and witty dialogue.
