It's been a long time since high school, but when a customer in Kelly Logan's Christian bookstore reveals that he's Mitch Dalton, from her sophomore math class, she's rendered speechless. He's a soldier now, in town for training, and he's excellent at breaking down Kelly's defenses. The two cement their friendship while he's overseas, and a firm bond develops. While Kelly has loved and lost, she has a delightful sense of humor that she shows in her e-mails to Mitch. Meanwhile, as far as Mitch is concerned, she's the one, and he's not going to let her go. Jillian Hart's A Soldier for Christmas (4.5) is a finely written romance.
