In A Soldier's Heart (3), physical therapist Mary Kate Donnelly is a widow with young children who has to re-enter the work force. Her first patient is Luke Marino, someone she briefly dated in high school. Luke is stubborn to a fault, but Mary Kate begins to break through his defenses, and this injured soldier, home from Iraq, sometimes doesn't know what hit him. A bond is forged that continues to grow as the line between therapist and patient becomes blurred. Marta Perry writes a warm, loving story that's pleasant to read.
