Book Review

SOMEBODY'S SINNING IN MY BED
by Pat G'Orge-Walker

Genre: Mainstream, Multicultural

RT Rating

G'Orge-Walker's fans might not appreciate her switch from comedy to mainstream women's fiction, because her sassy and distinctive voice doesn't shine through as well here as it does in her previous novels. However, she has the ability to turn a church drama into a wild and inspirational frolic.

Reverend Grayson Young and his wife Chyna have the perfect marriage -- except that while he preaches about the evils of infidelity, both he and his wife are having multiple affairs. When Grayson pays the ultimate price in a nightclub fire after catching Chyna in the act, she tries to keep her marriage failure under cover with the help of her twin sister, Janelle. All that changes when her first husband, Cordelle, returns. (DAFINA, Sep., 320 pp., $15.00)
