SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN
SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN (4.5) by Kimberly Van Meter: As the ne’er-do-well son of a New York senator, Justin Cales enjoys his partying ways — at least until his father gives him two weeks to sow his wild oats before he must begin a new path in life as a would-be senator, or be cut off from his trust fund. When he meets Lilah Bell at her family’s resort in St. John, he quickly falls for the fragile blonde. When he returns to see her a few months later, he gets more of a surprise than he expected: She’s pregnant with twins. Great description and sparkling dialogue make this a must-read. Lilah’s fragility and her worry over her recovery from a mental breakdown add an extra layer of depth to the story.
