Ariel Anderson returns to her hometown of Bliss, W.Va., to produce a TV feature on her ancestor Matilda Teasdale. In the late 1700s, Matilda's magical recipes for teas prompted rumors that she was a witch. Periodically, Bliss has been swept with periods of euphoria that seem to banish sexual inhibitions, and now appears to be one of those times. Rex Houston of the Center for Disease Control comes to town to see if a mysterious virus causes the phenomenon. Will his and Ariel's immediate attraction ruin all her plans? The fresh and charming Something in the Water ... (4.5) by Jule McBride has romance, mystery and interesting, attractive characters, all brewed into a delicious concoction as magical as Matilda's teas.
