Though worried that she's being stalked, attorney Jamie Gibson doesn't want a bodyguard. But her parents buy her ex-cop Sam Brimstone at a bachelor auction anyway. Jamie chafes under the constraints Sam places on her, but there's an upside -- the man is seriously hot! He's also just passing through -- and carrying some emotional baggage as weighty as Jamie's own -- so he's not relationship material. Teresa Southwick winds up Buy-a-Guy with Something's Gotta Give (3). But although the story is sound enough, and Sam and Jamie are well-developed, there's just no spark between them.
