Goyer continues to entertain and educate with her enthralling novels. Strong plots, vibrant heroines and complex settings are her hallmarks. This time she focuses on post-World War II Germany and a young woman in danger.

Gifted singer Betty Lake finds fame entertaining American soldiers in Germany after WWII. The praise and lifestyle go to her head until her friend Kat goes missing. Realizing that Army photographer Frank Witt's photos might hold clues, Betty sets out to find Kat.
