A SON'S TALE
A SON’S TALE (4) by Tara Taylor Quinn: After her parents decide to sue for custody of her 10-year-old son Sammie, single mom Morgan Lowen decides to rely on her English professor, Dr. Cal Whittier, for help. In the meantime, Sammie asks if he can spend some time with Cal’s father, Frank, because he believes it will help Frank get over the depression he’s suffered ever since he was accused of kidnapping his soon-to-be stepdaughter 25 years earlier. An interesting secondary plotline involving the original kidnapping case adds extra emotional appeal to the story and gives Quinn’s characters real depth. Cal’s emotions in particular are well drawn.
