In an attempt to escape the fallout from her ex-husband's sleazy/questionable past, Sophie Mazaratti moves from Philadelphia to a small town in North Carolina. But her troubles follow her. When she's attacked and then finds a dead body in her yard, she ends up calling police detective Gray Evans for help. Sophie's Last Stand (4) by Nancy Bartholomew is very realistic in its depiction of a strong woman determined to escape her past. Sophie kicks butt again and again—and manages to begin a relationship at the same time in this fun and exciting read.
