Sparks (4.5) aptly describes Dawn Ajani's and Jordan Taylor's characters and their romance. Dara Girard uses just the right touch of humor to portray Dawn's angst with her fledgling consulting firm, formed as a result of betrayal by her ex, and Jordan's need to prove his worth to his cruel and controlling father. They don't like that they're drawn to one another, but sparks fly whenever they're together. When the bad guys, who are surprisingly close to the couple, threaten to ruin Dawn's business and Jordan's company, they must act on their personal feelings to emerge successful and together. One of the "sparks" in the story is Dawn's curiosity about Jordan's natural hair color. After they make love, she uses a flashlight under the covers to verify it. Hilarious!
