Cecelia Langston has always felt that the Duke of Serverly disapproves of
the fact that his sister allows her such familiarity as the governess to his
nephews. When her friend provides Cecelia with a visit to London and she discovers
an unexpected inheritance, the ton is very willing to accept her as one of their
own. But a vengeful woman from the Duke's past sets out to cause trouble when
she realized that Duke is very much attracted to the lovely spinster. It is
just A SPINSTER'S LUCK to find that love can come at any age and overcome many
obstacles. Talented newcomer Rhonda Woodward has penned an enjoyable tale with
a good mix of mischief and matrimony. Her characters are believable and easy
to like, even if Miss Langston's qualms seem a bit overdone for someone whose
captured a duke's attention—and the support of his whole family. (Dec.,
224 pp., $4.99)
