Book Review

SPIRIT
by Brigid Kemmerer

Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

RT Rating

The third book in the Elemental Series is an entertaining, action-packed read. Kemmerer starts the story with a bang (literally), and doesn’t let up till the end. The cherry on top is Hunter. Although he’s no Merrick, he’s emotional, magical, misunderstood and conflicted — a fantastic hero!

Hunter Garrity has never felt so alone in his life. Misunderstood, it’s the Merrick brothers who reach out and lend their support — some more willingly than others. Hunter’s been trained to “take out” these Elementals, who go against everything that is right in the world — or so he’s been taught. Also there to help, ostensibly, is hottie Kate Sullivan. She’s new in town and drawn to Hunter. Of course, she has secrets of her own. (KTEEN, Jun., 368 pp., $9.95, ISBN: 9780758272836, PB, 12 & Up)
