A SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS
Wealthy businesswoman Keti Whitechapel has come a long way from the poor, friendless child she once was. But her past has marked her. She's known Dr. Martin Collins for years, been his lover, even borne his child, but his disapproval of her business practices and her inability to connect emotionally have kept them apart. Then, on Christmas Eve, with the help of some friendly spirits, Keti relives some of the events that have shaped her outlook on life -- and love. Margot Early's A Spirit of Christmas (2) starts with a tough sell -- a very unsympathetic heroine. Although Keti's handled skillfully, the rest of the characters and the plotting don't fare so well.
