SPIRIT OF THE WOLF
There is little consistency in this story. The sex is wild, but the plot doesn’t flow smoothly. It tends to jump around and not settle into any discernable pattern.
When ranch owner Matt Yaye’s horse trainer dies under mysterious circumstances, he hires Cat Alward and the two develop a relationship. Meanwhile, the Fish & Wildlife Commission has decided to bring back wolves to the area to re-create a natural balance that had been lost in recent years. The wolves run in packs and the alpha, Ghost Wolf, is really an evil spirit that tries to destroy people whom he feels have done injustices in his previous life (as a Paiute Indian). Matt is the son of one Ghost Wolf’s victims and is now a target. (APHRODISIA, Aug., 256 pp, $14.00)
