STAR POWER
by Kelli London

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary Young Adult

RT Rating

Charly has Star Power, and as usual she’s up to her eyeballs in Epic Fiascos. The ramifications of your actions can bring a whole lot of drama, even in a small town like Tallulahville, where teen residents put a surprisingly naïve Charly into some sticky situations. Great fun.

Charly pitches the idea of a personal “extreme makeover,” scoring herself top billing on the special summer edition of the Extreme Dream Team. She and Liam are sent to Tallulahville under the guise of making over the mayor’s office. But Charly’s real plan is to surprise his daughter, Nia, with a complete emotional and stylistic makeover. Nia is the quiet bookworm, her twin sister the prom queen. But what hidden secrets will Charly dig up? (KTEEN, Aug., 213 pp., $9.95, ISBN: 9780758286994, PB, 12 & Up)
