IN A STORM OF SCANDAL
IN A STORM OF SCANDAL (3) by Kim Lawrence: Choosing duty over love, Ginaluca Ranieri devastates the woman he loved by agreeing to an arranged marriage with another woman. Seven years later, widowed and wracked with guilt over his failure as a husband, he finds himself stranded with his former love, Poppy Ramsay, in her grandmother’s crumbling castle. Passion still burns between them, but is it too late for them to have a second chance at love? Although enjoyable to read, it feels like some details are overlooked (for example, how the virgin heroine and the hero who swims to shore from a sinking ship find an endless supply of condoms). The process by which the hero confronts his internal conflicts also seems glossed over.
