The Play-by-Play series is one of the sexiest to come along in a while, and while the main characters in the series have a connection, the books stand alone. The sex scenes are frequent and extremely exciting and illustrate the wall Trevor’s love interest keeps up to protect her heart. Sex is easy for Haven, but real intimacy is difficult. The chemistry between the two is powerful and an interesting catalyst for a love story that will have readers hot and bothered as well as satisfied with a happily ever after.

Trevor Shay is a rarity; he has successful baseball and football careers and can have any woman he desires. When he discovers the daughter of someone close to him needs help, he is there for her in a heartbeat. Haven Briscoe is living her dream as a sportscaster for a major network, but the recent death of her father has sent her reeling. Trevor may be just what she needs to get her career and life back on track. After she stumbles upon his closely guarded secret, it’s her turn to help him. Will he let her in and trust her as she had to learn to trust him? (BERKLEY, Jul., 320 pp., $15.00)
