A STRANGER'S WISH
by Gayle Roper

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Kicking off the Amish Farm trilogy, Roper brings the Amish way of life alive for readers. The characters are written with their imperfections showing and they learn from their mistakes. Roper throws in a twist to keep it fresh and different.

Kristie Matthew is an Englisher who has decided to board with an Amish family while she teaches. Due to a dog bite, she has landed in the emergency room. While waiting, she encounters an old man who gives her a key for safekeeping and swears her to secrecy. She has more immediate concerns to deal with, but when Kristie's life is endangered, she suspects there's a connection to the mysterious key.

While solving the mystery, and staying alive, Kristie must decide whether her lawyer boyfriend, Todd Reasoner, is really right for her -- or if Jon Clarke Griffin, a local man she's met, is all he seems to be. Can Kristie find the answers she needs to stay alive and also discover her true love? (HARVEST HOUSE, Feb., 256 pp., $9.99)
