Television news anchor Kate
Bloom needs a new image. The
inflexible persona she sports is
hurting ratings—hence her new show, Getting Real With Kate. But when
her first guest fails to appear, she is shocked to have Jesse Chapman—her
childhood crush—come to the rescue.

As her next-door neighbor he'd
been there for Kate during their childhood, but he later left to become a
professional golfer and notorious ladies' man. Recently, Jesse achieved hero
status after saving a woman's life. Through some friendly manipulation, Jesse ends up staying in Kate's guesthouse. Unfortunately, he sees himself
as her protector, not her lover. Will Kate ever be able to convince him otherwise?

Suddenly Sexy is a humorous romance with moments of poignant
soul-searching and some unique plot twists. Lee's characters are terrific,
as always. (Sep., 368 pp., $6.99)
