Prolific and talented Mallery returns to Fool’s Gold, the town with a man shortage, for the first in a new subseries featuring the Stryker siblings. Humor and charm abound in this delightful story of good intentions colliding with a land dispute. Mallery always delivers believable characters that touch your heart.

Growing up on the carnival circuit while being raised by her grandfather, Glen, Heidi Simpson always wanted a stable home. She buys the Castle Ranch in Fool’s Gold and raises goats to make specialty cheese. But when a dear friend of Glen’s falls ill, he sells the property to May Stryker, who once worked there. Glen had no right to sell, and soon Heidi is locked in a court battle with Rafe, May’s businessman son. When the judge orders them to temporarily share the property, May, Rafe, Heidi and Glen all move onto the ranch. Rafe is using a matchmaker to find a wife, but Heidi is a big temptation.
