SUMMER FRIENDS
by Holly Chamberlin

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

Chamberlin’s story of old friends who reconnect is touching, but numerous flashbacks make it rather slow going.

It has been 24 years since Maggie has seen Delphine, who was her closest friend, though they came from very different backgrounds. Now Maggie wants to renew their friendship. Delphine doesn‘t want to see Maggie, but Maggie is persistent and her visit is destined to change both their lives. (KENSINGTON, Jul., 355 pp., $15.00)
