Ophelia Beliveau is a hereditary vampire whose fangs broke out at puberty. Ophelia's also irresistible to men, a trait she could do without. And now she's the victim of escalating vandalism.

Bayou Gavotte detective Gideon O'Toole answers Ophelia's vandalism call, only to be intensely attracted to her. Despite her need for blood and sex, Ophelia tries to avoid men, but that plan falls apart. Nasty things are afoot as Gideon's sister reveals she's the victim of a blackmail web that is becoming increasingly deadly. (LOVE SPELL, Apr., 317 pp., $7.99)

I love love love Monajem's vampires! I totally bought into her world, and couldn't put this one down. There were a lot of characters, each unique and intriguing, but I never got lost. The mystery took a backseat to the love and passion between the hero and heroine, which was just what I wanted! Zelda coming into her vamp heritage was awesome, and the familial connections were just as strong as the romantic ones. Very cool story. I can't wait to return to Bayou Gavotte!
