SUNSHINE AND SHADOW
Benni Harper has some problems. Besides her busy schedule and her grandmother, Dove, wanting to annul her marriage, Benni is being stalked. Her police chief husband, Gabe, believes the stalker is someone from his past looking to get even with him. Further supporting that theory is the fact that a cop friend of Gabe's recently was murdered.
As Gabe tries to find the person harassing Benni before the situation escalates into violence, Benni is busy dealing with her own past. A past situation resurfaces in the form of her favorite childhood author, and Benni must question if perhaps this is where the danger is emanating from.
SUNSHINE AND SHADOW is a must-read for any fan of the series. Through flashbacks, Fowler reveals Benni's life with her former husband, Jack, and other past events. The transitions between the two time frames are smooth. Once you enter Benni's world it will be hard for you to leave. (May, 304 pp., $22.95)
