Allison is one panic attack away from a heart attack. Her doctors recommend that she find a hobby and learn to relax or her days will be numbered. After trying pottery, watercolors and a sad attempt at belly dancing, she decides that surfing is the answer. Now if only she can convince sexy surf instructor Sean Gilroy that she can do it.

Sean is immediately drawn to the pretty pixie, but Allison and a surfboard just don't mix. Still, looks can be deceiving, and Allison, driven and motivated, is about to get more than she asked for. Will she be able to accept that Sean is more than a surf bum and really the man that she loves?

Yardley has taken the opposites-attract theme and tailored it in such a way that it's not only fresh, it's also believable and truly romantic. (Dec., 320 pp., $5.99)
