Taggart Lancaster has been bailing his best friend out of trouble since they were nine. When his friend is arrested, Taggart agrees to assume his friend's identity to visit the other man's ailing grandmother, Miz Witty, on her birthday. Mary O'Mara, Miz Witty's live-in nurse, detests her employer's grandson for ignoring the older woman all of these years and won't SURRENDER TO A PLAYBOY (2), even though he is tempting. Renee Roszel's latest has an interesting story and a great conflict, but the characters seem flat and don't connect.
