Hauck's adorable novel contains the multilayered characters readers have come to expect from her books. The enjoyable story and unpredictable ending entertains and offers much to think about.
Caroline Sweeney has been working as a waitress at the Frogmore Cafe in Beaufort, S.C., because she can't say no to a friend in need. Now the proprietor has died and left the cafe to Caroline.
