SWEET PERSUASIONS (2) by Rochelle Alers: This book lacked the passion and drama that one would expect from a love story, and too many aspects of the plot were one dimensional. Ex-marine Xavier Eaton is now teaching at a military academy in South Carolina. Selena Yates left her acting career to become a pastry chef and open her own shop. The meeting between the two happens by chance and neither are prepared for the whirlwind romance that commences.

Sweet Persuasions

Xavier and Selena are a good match. They are adults who know what they want in life and what is important.

Selena is a bit gun shy because of a bad relationship in her past.

However, once Xavier knows that Selena is the woman he wants in his life he goes after her with military precision.

Ms. Alers combines several things that I love: decadent Deserts, a bit of history, intrigue and romance.
