SWEETER TEMPTATION (4) by Phyllis Bourne: Kyle Ellison is being groomed to take over as CEO at his family’s company and is given the task of closing down a candy factory his father bought before his death. The factory is located in Candy, Ohio, the hometown of Nia King. Nia’s grandmother was mayor of the town, and before she died, she had plans to save the factory. Nia is unable to find the plans, so she crafts a proposal to save the 2,000 jobs; how will her plans mesh with Kyle’s? Bourne does a great job of tying up all the loose ends and crafting a memorable tale of letting go of the past and taking risks. The characters are strong, relatable and will inspire readers to carve their own place in history.
