If there’s one thing that’s for certain about this new series, it’s that it will leave you hungry. McHugh manages to wrap a succulently angst-filled romance around delectable descriptions of Italian meals that will leave your mouth watering. Both Lia and Adam are wonderfully flawed characters, and the writing makes readers believe their story could be real. The book is on the short side, but it leaves readers anticipating future installments.

Lia Mantovani has everything she wants professionally: a successful restaurant and a career as a chef on the rise. When her mother schemes to fix her up with one of the Kelly brothers, she’s immediately attracted to the eldest son, Adam. But their budding relationship hits a bump when Adam realizes the building space he promised to a world-renowned chef he’s been wooing is the one Lia has been subletting.
