Divorced businesswoman Jillian Tompkins convinces her identical twin sister Jana Lee, a widowed mom, to switch places with her for a week. Jillian needs a break from the stress of her high-powered job at a San Francisco toy company, and she figures Jana Lee could use a breather from her mundane suburban existence.

Toy company V.P. Jackson Hawks finds himself wanting to do unspeakably sexy things to the lady executive he thought he knew. Meanwhile, back in the 'burbs, handyman Dean Wakefield encounters a woman not at all like the sad "widow" he remembered from months past.

Undoubtedly compelling and frequently comic, these women's fantasies come joyfully to life in this light and fun read. Macpherson writes strong dialogue and fast-paced action, and she sets up the differences between the twins' communities very well. The author also emphasizes that just because two women may look alike doesn't mean they're identical. (Dec., 368 pp., $5.99)
