Kingsbury's second offering in the Above the Line series allows a deeper look into the characters' lives. The portions involving Kelly are particularly meaningful, and the characters' faith struggles really speak to readers' hearts. But this installment leaves many loose ends hanging, which could be quite frustrating, considering the length of time between books.
Chase Ryan and Keith Ellison are excited that their previously filmed movie might finally be accepted for theatrical release. They push forward with their second film, knowing this is what God wants them to do. Unfortunately, Chase's wife Kelly doesn't see things the same way.
