TALES OF THE OTHERWORLD
by Kelley Armstrong

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Anthology, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Armstrong again combines a collection of short stories originally published on her website. There's also a new bonus story as well. These tales fill in some blanks and give more insight into many of Armstrong's unforgettable characters. A truly excellent treat, as well as a charitable fund-raiser. Armstrong's proceeds from the book go to World Literacy of Canada.

Beginnings are a major theme, as these stories explore the origins and first meetings of many of the Otherworld's major players. See how Clayton and Elena met, how Eve and Kristof first hooked up and how Paige and Lucas got married. You'll also learn how vampire Aaron was made and see Logan discover he's a werewolf. Tales of the Otherworld

This collection of short stories gives us background on some of our favorite characters. The standout story is BEGINNINGS where we see Elena and Clay's relationship before he bit her. I liked that we had both points-of-view in this story and see Clay's reasoning behind biting Elena.

I also liked the story about Eve Levine teaching sorcerer Kristof Nast basic witch magic. Also enjoyed Lucas Cortez and Paige Winterbourne investigating a murder. My rating: 4 Stars.
