Once again the talented Jewels of the Quill offer a collection of enchanting stories. All the authors give readers what they want -- adventure, mystery, romance and a peek into the unknown -- and they never fail to entertain.

Sparks fly between Ella Rose and her djinn in the "The Turquoise Talisman," by Jane Toombs. In "The Tanzanite Curse," by C.J. Winters, Jillian doubts her luck with a cursed stone when an author's assistant insinuates himself into her life.

Nancy Pirri returns to the Old West where heiress "Princess Sapphire" Laura falls for an unexpected beau. And lavender chickens and a giant beaver play matchmakers in the humorous "Mrs. Claus and the Moonstone Murder,"
by Christine DeSmet.

Lucian came to Heita looking for a supply of Bloodstone. Instead he finds war and Mina, one of his own, in "Bloodstone Legacy," by Cassie Walder. "Revenge in Amethyst," the romantic thriller by Karen Wiesner, threatens former sex therapist Melina and her new life. Things could get deadly.

Sam is with the FBI when his path crosses Sadie's as they look for her embezzler husband in "Garnet Nights" by Liz Hunter. (Whiskey Creek, Mar., 404
